Guillermo Coria, a former world number three, thinks Rafael Nadal of Spain and Novak Djokovic of Serbia are competing to be the greatest tennis player of all time. Both were among the original “Big Three,” which also included Roger Federer, the former world number one.
For the most of the previous 20 years, the three dominated men’s tennis. With up to 24 Grand Slam victories, Djokovic is frequently considered the most successful player in men’s tennis history in the singles division during the Open era. However, Nadal has won up to 22 Grand Slam trophies, so he is not that far behind in the final.

The trio dominated men’s tennis for the majority of the preceding two decades. Djokovic is often regarded as the most successful player in men’s tennis history in the singles division during the Open era, having won up to 24 Grand Slam titles. Nadal is not far behind in the final, though, having won up to 22 Grand Slam titles.
“There are many great that we haven’t seen, like [Roger] Federer, so it’s challenging. I faced him (Nadal) and I paired him with ‘Nole’ to compete for the top slot,” he remarked. He broke a lot of records on clay. Because of what he has produced and continues to produce, I believe he is among the greatest athletes in history. It’s an amazing book about how to compete, how to approach a match, how to handle a situation if things don’t work out, how to continue using that handbook when things do, how to conduct yourself off the court, and his words. His family and those around him, particularly Carlos Moya, who was a wonderful friend and collaborator, were, in my opinion, quite significant.
