November 1, 2024

November 1st Leeds United, a Championship team, and Adidas, one of the top sports brands in the world, have formally confirmed an extension of their collaboration, which was initially suggested for the 2020–21 campaign.

Adidas will manufacture all training and playing attire for the entire playing and backroom staff as Leeds’ official kit partner. Shirt sales for the 2024–2025 season has already surpassed previous records, and the team has one of the most ardent supporter bases in English sport.

Within 24 hours of its introduction, the away kit—which is sometimes mocked by fans—sold 15,000 units, breaking the previous sales record. Leeds and Adidas both think that the improved sales success is due to quality, design, and innovation.

Christopher Walsh, Vice President of Brands at Adidas, stated: “We are excited to continue our fruitful collaboration with Leeds United. We are honored to be a part of Leeds United’s journey, a team with a rich history and a devoted following. We’re excited to produce more recognizable uniforms and gear that enthrall and inspire supporters in the UK and abroad. On and off the field, we will work together to keep pushing the envelope in terms of performance, flair, and innovation.

“Everyone at the club is incredibly excited that we have extended our partnership with Adidas,” noted Morrie Eisenberg, COO of Leeds United, echoing those sentiments. Over the Past few seasons, our friendship has grown so strong, and it’s wonderful that we can now work alongside the amazing staff at Adidas. One of the most well-known brands in sports, we have had a great time collaborating with them on limited-edition collections like Originals and the newly launched Spezials line in addition to kit designs and launches.

The goal of American businessmen Paraag Marathe and Jed York, who own 49ers Enterprises Global Football Group, an investment arm of the NFL’s San Francisco 49ers, is to bring Leeds, who are currently in third place and actively seeking for promotion back to the Premier League, to the United States.

The Leeds brand is Expanding internationally in the world’s most profitable market as US players find Leeds to be a desirable home. Brenden Aaronson, for example, is following in Weston McKennie’s footsteps, and Tyler Adams is at Elland Road.
