Josh Allen has a wonderful chance to continue ascending the Bills’ history rankings against the Dolphins

Say what you want about Josh Allen, but one thing remains consistent: he always finds a way to dominate the Miami Dolphins. Since being chosen in 2018, Allen and the Bills have dominated this rivalry with Miami and have yet to be completely outplayed by them.

Allen has an 11-2 regular season record against the Dolphins, including a postseason win. He has 42 career touchdowns and just 12 turnovers. What Tom Brady was to the Bills for nearly 20 years, Allen is to the Dolphins.

Allen usually gives his finest effort of the season against the Dolphins. However, Week 2 was somewhat different for him. Even though the Bills demolished the Dolphins 31-10, it wasn’t due to Allen’s performance. Allen had injured his hand the week before and was not fully recovered. It became the James Cook show, with three total touchdowns.

The Bills will meet the Dolphins today in Orchard Park, and both teams are in entirely different stages of their seasons. Buffalo is 6-2 and leads the AFC East, while Miami has Tua Tagovailoa back under center after missing Weeks 3–8 due to a concussion suffered against the Bills in Week 2.

Not only do the Bills have a fantastic chance to extend their division lead, but Josh Allen has the opportunity to continue climbing the ranks in Bills franchise history. Allen appears to be moving closer to the top in most categories in Bills history with each passing week.

According to the Buffalo Bills PR X account, Allen has three options for climbing the history ranks. If Allen scores one passing touchdown, he would surpass Joe Ferguson for the second most passing touchdowns in team history. If Allen can rush for 35 yards, he would pass Bills running back Travis Henry for the franchise’s fifth-highest rushing yardage total. Finally, if Allen scores a rushing touchdown against Miami, he will tie former Bills running back O.J. Simpson for the second-most rushing touchdowns in franchise history.

It’s safe to assume that Allen has a clear advantage against the Dolphins. The Dolphins are no match for Allen, and they have always struggled to stop him. Add that to the fact that Allen has the opportunity to make a variety of history in front of the Bills Mafia.
