At a recent all-hands meeting, Mark Zuckerberg acknowledged that leaks from within Meta have forced him to be more cautious about what he says internally. In leaked audio obtained by 404 Media, Zuckerberg expressed frustration, stating, “Everything I say leaks. And it sucks, right?”
To mitigate this, Meta has changed its internal Q&A format, moving to a poll-based system where employees vote on pre-submitted questions rather than engaging in open dialogue. Zuckerberg admitted that some topics are too “value-destroying” to discuss publicly, calling the situation “a little bit of a bummer.”
Notably, Zuckerberg did not address Meta’s $25 million settlement with Donald Trump, which includes $22 million earmarked for the future Trump Presidential Library.
What do you think? Is this a necessary move for Meta or a sign of deeper trust issues within the company?
