Three Missing Wenatchee Girls Found Dead; Father Identified in Investigation
Wenatchee, WA (June 3, 2025) — A heartbreaking search for three missing girls in Wenatchee has ended in tragedy. The Wenatchee Police Department (WPD) confirmed Tuesday morning that the children, who had been the subject of an intense multi-agency search since Friday, have been found deceased.
The girls—ages nine, eight, and five—were reported missing on the night of May 30th after their mother filed a civil complaint. According to authorities, the children were not returned following a scheduled visitation with their father, identified as 32-year-old Travis Decker of Wenatchee.
Police say officers immediately began investigating Decker’s whereabouts, believing he was driving a white 2017 GMC Sierra pickup with Washington license plate D20165C. Initial tracking showed the vehicle had traveled westbound on Highway 2, but checks at area motels yielded no results.
Wenatchee Police initially contacted Washington State Patrol (WSP) on Friday night to request an AMBER Alert, but it did not meet the required criteria. By Saturday, additional information allowed police to issue an Endangered Missing Person Alert (EMPA) in hopes of locating the children.
Over the weekend, local detectives worked closely with WSP and other law enforcement agencies across Chelan County in a race against time to find Decker and the girls. Tragically, their efforts concluded with the discovery of the three girls’ bodies. Details about where and how the children were found have not yet been released.
“Our hearts are with the family during this incredibly difficult time,” said a WPD spokesperson. “We’ve remained in close contact with them every step of the way and are doing everything possible to bring closure to this case.”
Authorities say the investigation is ongoing, and more details are expected to be released in the coming days. Regional, state, and federal agencies remain involved as part of the coordinated response.
Anyone with information is encouraged to contact the Wenatchee Police Department.
