Authorities in Tennessee have arrested a Medina resident following an ongoing investigation into child exploitation. Special agents from the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation’s (TBI) Cybercrime & Digital Evidence Unit took the man into custody after uncovering evidence of child sexual abuse material being uploaded online. This arrest marks a significant development in the fight against digital crimes involving the exploitation of minors.
The investigation began on December 26, 2024, when the TBI received a cybertip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC). The tip suggested that an individual had been sharing illegal child sexual abuse content through an electronic service provider account. Acting swiftly, TBI agents launched an inquiry, working diligently to trace the activity back to its source. Their efforts soon led them to identify the account as being linked to Brandon Fairchild, a Medina resident.
As the investigation progressed, the agents gathered the necessary evidence to take legal action. On March 9, 2025, they executed a search warrant for the electronic service provider account in question. The findings confirmed their suspicions, and shortly after, Brandon Fairchild (born May 27, 1981) was arrested. The charges against him include one count of Sexual Exploitation of a Minor and two counts of Unlawful Photography, reflecting the severity of the alleged crimes.
Following his arrest, Fairchild was booked into the Gibson County Jail. Law enforcement officials have stated that the investigation is still ongoing, with efforts continuing to determine if there are any additional victims or related criminal activity.
